Start Living Part Two

What's most important to you?

Your family or your career?

I am going to take this one step further and by so doing I hope that you finally get the message. Not just get the message but understand the message.

I am making this page Start Living Part Two to lend support and credence to the page that I made entitled Start Living.

How am I going to do this? By taking you back in time. I'm taking you back to Friday, June 1, 1990. The place? I'm taking you to Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Allow me to introduce you to First Lady Barbara Bush. She is delivering a commencement speech to the graduating class of 1990. Sit back, listen carefully and take with you the wisdom and knowledge that comes from one with years of experience. Sometimes, that's exactly what it takes, someone older with years of experience under their belt. The younger generation sometimes has trouble understanding these things because they haven't lived long enough to experience or understand such things for themselves.

These words spoken by First Lady Barbara Bush became very controversial:
"At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, winning one more verdict or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a child, a friend or a parent". It became controversial because it went against the grain and the thinking of the time. But, her words were as true as true can be. They were true then and they are true now. Truth stands the test of time. I'm running the audio so that you don't have to click on anything else to hear it. Enough said by me, remember I've taken you back in time, so I give you First Lady Barbara Bush on stage in front of "The Class of 1990".

"Life moves pretty fast. Ya don't stop and look around once in a while, ya gonna miss it!"
